As a parent, educator, bodywork professional and occupational therapist, Cindy consistently observes the connection between the brain and body as the foundation of one’s abilities (adaptive and functional) and challenges (disorganized and stressful). The nervous system impacts our physical skills, emotional regulation and behavioral responses. The modalities she provides include movement and reflex integration, sensory processing strategies, auditory, proprioceptive, vestibular and visual input, and craniosacral therapy to augment her work in pediatric occupational therapy. Cindy is a creative problem-solver and combines assessments and evidence-based techniques with experience and intuition to address each child’s gifts and potential.

Cindy has academic degrees from Colorado State University in Human Development and Family Studies, and Occupational Therapy. Cindy is a Certified Massage Therapist, as a graduate of the Boulder School of Massage Therapy.  Additionally, Cindy is an advanced practitioner of Craniosacral Therapy and a teaching assistant with the Upledger Institute.                                                                     

 

Cindy’s work as an occupational therapist began in school settings. She was employed at the Mapleton Center of Boulder Community Hospital from 2000-2007. In the Pediatric Rehabilitation department, her roles included being a Wheelchair and Mobility/Assistive Augmentative Communication Specialist, and a member of the Autism Team.

Cindy established her pediatric occupational therapy private practice in 2006. She has contracted with clients through Imagine!( Early Intervention, Autism Spectrum Disorder programs, Assistive Technology consultant), Sage Center for the Gifted, and Boulder Country Day School.
